Crazy Blueberry Monster Smoothie

Just gotta have your smoothie in winter?  While cold foods are generally not advised for winter, deprivation is even worse.  We want you to have your smoothie, and drink it too.

The oils in the avocado provide warmth for your body and nerves.   Spinach contains abundant flavonoids that act as antioxidants to keep cholesterol from oxidizing and protect your body from free radicals, particularly in the colon. Chia is rich in omega-3’s, antioxidants and flavanoids.  Flax provides fiber.  And the anthocyanins in blueberries, which lend their vibrant color, also neutralize free radicals.

1 avocado
6 oz. spinach
1 c. blueberries, frozen
2 Tbsp. chia/flax seeds
2 c. unsweetened coconut water
8 ice cubes
Agave, or honey, to taste

Blend all ingredients in a VitaMix on high until smooth.
