Heal-Your-Body-2.0

This Page Under Construction

This training is for anyone wanting healing, therapy, and coaching combined, as restoration from stress and trauma.  You may be in a leadership role such as an executive or parent.  You may be a healing practitioner such as a psychotherapist, nurse, yoga teacher, or massage therapist.  Or, you may want to improve your physical health and emotional clarity to support and discover your true mission in life.  Read our mission here, and also here.

This voice and touch training has a unique goal: to inspire a new future vision and discover the energy to accomplish it.

Create new patterns in BrainBody communication that shift your perception and action in life. Advance your health, self-leadership, and Life Purpose.  In linking the body to the brain, you heal unconscious trauma and stress that have been getting in the way of the voice of a more true self that knows what you want and how to get it. Your vision may be a new creative work path, climbing Mt. Everest, learning how to love more deeply, healing a chronic condition, or just not feeling so tired.

New possibilities begin to emerge with body & brain TouchLink™, where access to a deeper Life Current frees the energy for your Life Purpose to rise and take shape.

As the skin and organs receive a listening touch, sensory signals link the body to the heart and brain.  In linking, you become transparently available to your heart’s deepest longings. Compassion is key in this series also known as Support Touch for Trauma™.  Your own emergent creativity and relational sensitivity awakens. Voice, touch, dialogue and movement (Nia/Yoga) are the therapeutic tools of the process; the craniosacral, visceral, fascia, and Chinese medicine systems are the foundation.  These combined self-defining, self-organizing principles illuminate the higher intelligence within.

“The heart of intelligence is rhythm and vibration. Its language is sensing, feeling, and trusting.”
– Gloria Gonzalez

How?
Life Changing Listening through body-to-brain touch gives access to a true voice
that inspires new future visions and the energy to accomplish what you want.
It begins with trusting yourself.

Who?
This training is for those who desire healing, health and high energy.  You don’t need special training to join. Everyone finds these integrative methods helpful. Practitioners of therapeutic dialogue, touch and movement are invited to broaden your craft.

What?
Growth happens when you weave three avenues of self-expression:
Sensation, Emotion, and Cognition.
These three levels of self-awareness expand as touch to the skin sends direct messages to the brain.  Learn anatomy, physiology and energy basics.  Work within the quantum field of consciousness to create wholeness of the psyche.

Why?
Your deepest sensitivities develop to become your greatest power and express your highest art in life.
As you unburden the body-brain, you become more capable, lighter and free.
Your heart opens, and your mind is clear and strong.

When?
This class meets for 5 modules, and the program is 1 year.  We cycle through a different aspect of consciousness every season, each which completes the puzzle picture of the psyche. Only when each season (of the self) is present, do we feel whole, and therefore, able.   See details below.

Sessions
A 3-part progression into the body uncovers your potential.
Includes Nia – a blend of 9 movement arts: tai chi, tae kwon do, aikido, jazz, modern and Duncan dance, Feldenkrais, Alexander, yoga – for emotional expression and fluid freedom, and Yoga for sensation awareness and body form.

Discover the Joy of Movement through Nia and conscious alignment through Yoga.
Then move into Leadership & Listening Teams for Voice& Touch Training
and a deep dive of the season’s Life Purpose.

These combined actions open the gateway for meaningful and coherent BrainBodyLinking.

What Is The Body Imprint?
IATM is a root method to strengthen your sense of self-leadership, expand consciousness and heal trauma. Embodiment – the Body Imprint – is the difference IATM provides.  Chinese medicine is the timeless framework which guides the Body Imprint, the healing of the body/psyche chasm, the space where biology and spirit meet to move you from trauma and stress back into growth, repair, restoration, and relationship. Four regions of the body/psyche are the foundation for all growth:  Cranium, Thorax, Abdomen, and Pelvis.

The Body Imprint grounds the psyche and change. The laws of nature from the five seasons in Chinese Medicine guide us toward wholeness.

V&T 1   –   PELVIS:  Fear/Trust .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  . winter
V&T 2   –   ABDOMEN:  Anger/Creativity .  .  .  spring
V&T 3   –   THORAX:  Sadness/Passion .  .  .  .  summer
V&T 4   –   CRANIUM:  Worry/Empathy .  .  .  .   late summer
V&T 5   –   THORAX:  Fulfillment/Grief .  .  .  . fall

Trust Your Body
Amalgamation of Science & Spirit
The amalgamation of science and spirit is in the body.  All IATM leadership and healing series offer direct experience with the cranial nerves, visceral organs, sensory system, emotions and the Triune Brain.  To sense differences and connections, and to refine and trust what you feel, is the hallmark of healing.
Creating a Body Imprint – a sensory shift in the body’s nervous system – is where science meets spirit.

Ancient yogis knew that. They grounded the restless mind (known as the “rajas” active spirit element, or guna) into the heavy state of the body (known as the “tamas” steady body element, or guna). When these two polarized forces meet in the Body Imprint, the result is “sattvic”, or the luminous element of harmony.

Supporting self-organizing systems is where the harmony happens:

  • Polyvagal theory – the biology of compassion, and the 5 regulating nerves
  • Craniosacral system – contact the brain, spine, nerves, meninges to touch the origins of mind in the 12 craniosacral nerves and tissues
  • Visceral system – organs as emotional brains, nerves, fascia, the 4 body vaults
  • Fascial System – your internal web, a communication network connecting every organ and nerve to the brain
  • The Autonomic Nervous System (ANS): the power of the protection and growth responses of Fight, Flight, Freeze, Friend, Fold – science and somatics.
  • The 10-Senses – sensory organs as portals of self-regulation, including 5 senses of the physical eye and 5 senses of the inner eye.
  • Triune Brain – increase your conflict-resolution capacity via animal (reptilian), social (mammalian) and divine (neocortical) integration.
  • 5 Elements of Leadership and Life Resiliency Cycle – the Chinese Medicine Cycle of Transformation is a timeless map for inner change. The body and organs are the source of the unconscious psyche/soul that longs to bring its calling to fruition.
  • The Practice of Emergence – a dynamic approach of movement, touch and dialogue combined, in relation to bodily structures, somatics, systems thinking and the 5 Element Cycle.

The BodyBrain Links together waves of growth in the Triune Brain, the three realms in which we exist, from Animal to Divine.

  • Animal Brain Link: settles recurring survival responses of fight, flight, freeze, to inspire natural empowerment and self-care. Sensation is the guide.
  • Social Brain Link: balances emotional self-mastery, empathy and expression, fueling the capacity to communicate and connect genuinely. Feeling is the guide.
  • Divine Brain Link: gives direction to decision-making and self-leadership propelling new visions and the discernment needed to make them happen. Insight is the guide.

Leadership & Life Resiliency
Develop your embodied presence with this direct and differentiated moment-to-moment contact with the organs, nervous system, and your 10-Senses.   With a more finely tuned, capable nervous system, stress fades and trauma heals.  The body springs forth again with self-regulation.  More bold and yet more vulnerable, we finally embrace that which we long for most in life. The genuine fulfillment that grows within generously and courageously gives back to the world.

“Develop uncommon power: learn to listen to that which can only be felt.”
– Gloria Gonzalez

Self-Regulation and Co-Regulation
Specific structures positively affect self-regulation and co-regulation, which is the development of harmony within the self and with others.

Anyone can train in these simple techniques for a profound embodied experience.

  • Emotional Balance & 4 Body Vaults: Experience greater emotional expression, balance and emotional relief, through contact with four bodily diaphragms.  As self-organizing, they make up the wholeness of our emotions and the psyche.
  • Self-Regulation & Craniosacral System: Our most basic reactions and the fluidity of brain function are regulated by the craniosacral nerves, bones, and membranes.
  • Co-Regulation, Polyvagal System & Visceroception:   Relational expression and a more honest, genuine fulfilling human inter-connection can develop when we reach down & in to our interior self to bring up & out what wants to be shared in healthy, creative exchange with others.

Too often education in these systems is imparted within theoretical frameworks. Instead, we will work with them as they actually exist in your body: by proximity and within the regions that express the psyche and emotions, processing past, present and future. This creates a coherence not available when you work exclusively within either scientific or psychological textbook frameworks.

Self-Organizing Body

HANDS-ON work activates the brain, and our capacity to Voice that which has been left unspoken – needs, desires, expressivity, relations, acknowledgment, talent, skills, and our sense of knowing. Embody new self-leadership. Challenge the edges of perception.  Increase your instinctual capacity.  Embrace the body as a source of both stability and change. More meaningful experiences in life emerge from the coherence Voice can bring about.

• Winter – Pelvis/Cranium: Trust
Trust, Purpose, Listening.

• Spring – Abdomen: Creativity
Creativity, Power, Sight.  .

• Summer – Thorax: Passion
Passion, Inter-Connection, Speaking.

• Late Summer – Abdomen: Empathy
Empathy, Community, Touch.

• Fall – Thorax: Fulfillment
Fulfillment, Renewal, Identity.
