What kind of equipment is used in Personal Training?
Personal training at Eight Elements West focuses on Functional Fitness: challenging postural stability and mobility utilizing bar forms, ropes, slide boards, power ropes, weights, kettlebells, balance boards and one’s own body weight. Private sessions begin with a 7-point Functional Movement Screen to determine a program challenging for your level of fitness.
What will my first Personal Training session be like?
You will first be asked to fill out a client intake form with questions regarding your health history and goal in seeking us out. Come dressed in comfortable workout clothing that hugs the body. Before your session stay well hydrated, eat lightly and get a good night’s sleep – prepare your body for a wonderful training experience.
How many times a week should I do Personal Training?
Attending Personal Training Sessions regularly allows your trainer to really help guide your transformation through the small change you need to make each week. This is the most important part of results. Consistent attendance 2-3 times a week with either Private or Group Training Sessions will greatly enhance your energy, body strength and tone. In return, this feeling of change will inspire you to stay with it.

Do children do Personal Training?
Absolutely! Personal training is great way for kids to begin working with balance, dynamic movement and postural stabilization. Depending on their age, the types of exercises the child should do will vary. Children under the age of 18 will work with their lighter weights, props, or simply own body weight since the ends of bones are not fully matured. A guardian approval will be required.
